Anyway, I was thinking about something he told me a little while ago. During that emotions ritual, he said he'd gotten shot a bunch pretty early on while being here? And so even using his gun can feel kind of spooky, which I don't blame him for.
So what I'm wondering is, would you have any idea how to build him a gun that doesn't, like...sound or feel like one?
[ you can almost see the beautiful mind math equations floating around his head ]
With magitech, it should be possible. I've made bean shooters that are nearly that, so adjusting it to work with real bullets should be pretty simple...
[ the way his grin grows as he watches aides think through that ]
I knew you'd know what to do. [ his awesome smart pal aides!!! ] Do you need any supplies you don't have? I can handle the, like, talking to Red or whoever since I dunno if I'd be any help with the building parts.
I have a few spare parts... I think I might need a magestone for this build. But it only has to be a small one. Oh, but I don't know if they exist in your world so I'd probably have to ask... but then I'd probably need help with the quest. They're so hard now... last time I had to kiss people...
[ in a tone like. this is the worst thing Red has ever asked him to do. which it is. ]
B-but! For a gift for Charon I can power through...!
Mm, but it's possible I could work around it without a magestone? I think it would be pretty easy to write up a program that automatically casts a silence spell as soon as the trigger is pulled, making the gunshot entirely silent, but then again that pulls a bit of power from the user, so I think there's also a purely tech way to put it together...
But I WOULD need a couple of things I don't already have that I THINK should be available in any world with enough tech for there to be firearms at all so maybe I could assign you that. Since it's only two or three small components it should be a super easy quest.

[ sand pile,,,, well ok yeah sitting down next to him ]
It's actually for Charon? I was thinking about surprising him.

Re: day 80
Geez. Whatever it is...well, if I can help, I will. That's the least I can do here.

Just tell me what you need, and I'll take care of it.

...and, thanks. This is definitely not the kind of thing I could do on my own.
