[Halfway in the water is a struggling merman, fresh blot oozing from around his eyes and down his arms. When he sees Aides approaching he stops trying to pull himself out of the water and collapses into the sand.]
[What did he do? Well it's kind of silly, really, but the fastest way to build up blot is to use a signature spell without a magestone, so he was demanding the truth out of a handful of fish - which were a lot harder to find even in the ocean right now, so these were particularly unfortunate. He might have eaten one or two when they didn't respond. It's all a bit of a blur.
But it's too difficult to answer with any of that right now, so he merely coughs up ink onto the shore in response.]
[ as he absorbs it, aides' hair glows brighter and with more volume like when you make one of those circuits with a lightbulb and add bunch of batteries ]
If I'd gotten cornered by Rubato for a conversation or something you'd have died, yuo know.
What were you even doing to generate that much blot...
[ fussily plasters himself against Leviathan. it's not like a cuddle or affectionate touch because they're not that close but it's like. the more direct contact he has the faster he can chew up the extra blot? awk awk just deal ]
[He turns his head and a vine pops out of the ground some ways away. It lifts up his bag, half buried in the sand, and brings it over.
He doesn't need his potion to change back every time, but he's going to need clothing. The shift back to human form comes with no forewarning and no shame.]
